About Glenn

Glenn Theal has had a longstanding passion for photography, with much of his early work focused on capturing the beauty of nature and the world around him. Over the years, his photographic interests have expanded to include people, animals, portraits, fine art, and commercial work.

His photography has received recognition through awards, and his work has been published in New York Magazine, Toronto Life Magazine, The Nibble, and university text books (Aquaculture Science: Chapter 3 - Marketing Aquaculture ).

Glenn holds university degrees in psychology, with a minor in biology, and in education, and has over 25-years of experience as an Ontario teacher. His background has given him a strong understanding of people, observation, communication, behaviour, and the individual characteristics that make each subject unique.

His approach to photography is grounded in patience, observation, and an appreciation for natural expression. Whether photographing a person, family, beloved pet, or creating a fine-art image, Glenn approaches each project individually, with careful attention to light, composition, character, and the story within the image.

The goal isn’t simply to take a photograph. It’s to create an image that feels authentic to the person, animal, or moment being photographed.

Photography is about connection, not perfection.

I believe the most powerful images happen when people, animals, and moments are seen for who they truly are. I take the time to understand what matters to you so we can create photographs that reflect your story with authenticity and care.

Whether I’m photographing a family, a beloved pet, a brand, or the natural world, I approach every project with the same focus - light, composition, character, and genuine connection.
